what to SEE & DO

The building served religious functions up to the outbreak of World War II. During the war and for many years afterwards, the building was used as a carpentry workshop and then as a warehouse, and from the early 1980s it stood as an abandoned.

At the Antiquarian Bookshop in Kazimierz, located in the basement of the Center for Jewish Culture, visitors will find a rich collection of Judaica: books on Jewish history and culture, as well as old Hebrew publications, print and prewar postcards.
