The Twardowski Rocks are fragment of the hill framework Krzemionki Zakrzowskiw in Krakow, in the vicinity of the Zakrzówek lagoon surrounded by rocks and  formed in 1990 at the site of the former quarry. The Zakrzówek lagoon consists of two connected tanks. The edges of the lagoon are one of the favorite holiday destinations of Krakow residents.

During World War II, when the area was used as a quarry, from September 1940 to October 1941 Karol Wojtyła (Pope John Paul II) worked here.
